This is the official population register for Norway. It contains information about all persons that have received an official Norwegian identification number.

In the National Register you will get an overview of, among other things:

• Social security number/D-number
• Addresses
• Relocation and historical addresses
• Name changes
• Deaths
• Citizenship
• Marital status
• Family relationships
• Parental responsibility
• Information about legal guardians

How do I get access to the register?

Access to the National Population Register requires approval from the Norwegian Tax Authorities (Skatteetaten).
